Physical Education is a major core subject, compulsory for all pupils in year 7 to 11 and is offered as an option subject in KS4. Physical Education is regarded as a vitally important contributor to the school ethos, curriculum and extra curricular program, as well as an important part of the Stamford Queen Eleanor School community.
The PE department maintains a high profile within the school and is committed to ensuring that the delivery of Physical Education provision and out of hours learning is of a very high quality.
The Department comprises of three full time specialist teaching staff and one part time, as well as a part time SSCO. In addition, Coaches are employed to assist in the delivery of Physical Education both in and out of hours learning.
The Physical Education curriculum at Stamford Queen Eleanor School is planned to enable all young people to become:
