Humanities is a strong and popular department within the school, with a large percentage of students choosing Geography, History or both at GCSE. This reflects the strong foundations laid at KS3. At KS3 staff teach all three disciplines within the Humanities curriculum. This curriculum includes modules on History, Geography and Religious Studies, which are based around the National Curriculum framework for these three subject areas. The department has 3 lessons per week in Year 7 and four lessons per week in Year 8 and Year 9.
