The aim of Design and Technology is to develop appropriate skills and knowledge in our students to enable them to identify and respond to design opportunities with increasing competence and independence. A key aspect of the curriculum provided ensures that a range of practical skills are acquired by the students that will increase self confidence and result in the production of high quality products.

Design and Technology is taught to all students, and includes GCSE courses in four Specifications. There are four specialist workshops, which are well equipped for delivering the following areas:

• Food
• Graphics
• Product Design
• Textiles
