School Hours

The school office is open to students from 8.15am - 4.30pm. The core school day is from 8.50am to 3.25pm. Should you need to speak to someone after these hours there is an evening lettings caretaker in the school until 10pm most evenings.

	(Cafe ‘08 is the only part of school open to students before 8.50am.)

Lunchtime and Breaks - Cafe '08

A 'healthy lifestyle' cafeteria operates in the school and the school has recently refurbished the eating area to bring it in line with 21st century dining for the students. There is a wide range of good quality sandwiches, rolls and jacket potatoes available together with two 'main meals of the day', one of which is always a vegetarian option.

Chips are served only on Fridays as part of a traditional fish and chips lunch. We have introduced two new healthy food vending machines to help reduce queues. Milkshakes and fruit juices are also sold. Hot and cold snacks can also be purchased at first morning breaks.

We want to encourage all students to stay on the school site at lunchtime. Students in Years 7-9 are required to do so. Parents/carers with children in Years 10 and 11 wishing their child to return home for lunch should put this request in writing to the Headteacher.
