STAMFORD EDUCATION ALLIANCE

STAMFORD EDUCATION ALLIANCE – Stamford Queen Eleanor School, New College Stamford and the Stamford Endowed Schools

The Stamford Education Alliance has been created to ensure that the young people of Stamford receive the best start in life through outstanding education. The new alliance will provide for the needs of all students from the age of 11-18. They will be able to choose the school or college which is right for them, based on their interests, talents and future goals.  A wide range of qualifications will be on offer from the age of 11 onwards.  The Alliance will also work to develop shared teaching, learning, enrichment and development opportunities for staff and students across the three institutions.

Children at Stamford Queen Eleanor will be able to choose from a wide range of courses including GCSEs, applied/vocational courses at the School or at New College Stamford and new AS levels in Year 11.  Students at Stamford Queen Eleanor who gain five B grades at GCSE or better will have the opportunity of studying A Levels at the Stamford Endowed Schools.  All students will continue to have the opportunity of studying for A levels and other courses at New College Stamford.

PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN QUEEN ELEANOR AND THE DEEPINGS SCHOOL
The two local secondary schools will be working closely together over the next few years.  Our joint action plan is designed to benefit the staff and students at both schools with opportunities for joint activities.  The sharing of good practice across both schools is at the heart of the plan and key areas of focus will include:

• Leadership support at all levels
• Joint training opportunities and support
• Improved provision for students – 14-19 Diplomas and post 16
• Specialist status events/activities eg Enterprise days
• Sharing of resources
• Improvement in standards
