Extra Curricular Activities

Our students enjoy a wide range of enrichment activities that occur both at lunchtimes and after school. Boys and girls in all year groups compete against other schools in a wide range of sports activities. Music, drama and dance clubs are popular and photography is pursued both as an exam subject and as an after school activity.

The school organises a number of study trips in the UK and abroad for students across all year groups. For example, a group of Year 10s and 11s travel each year to Krakow in Poland as part of their Humanities course.

The school’s excellent in-house student magazine ‘QE Life’ is complemented by our own radio station ‘QE Live!’ which is managed, administered and presented by students across the age ranges.

We have a very active parent teachers association, the Queen Eleanor Association, which runs a variety of activities for students and parents and also raises valuable funds for the school. We are also establishing a Duke of Edinburgh Awards programme for the school.

The school runs its own singing talent competition ‘Q Factor’ which is extremely popular and the Year 11s mark the end of their school career with a formal Prom event complete with stretch limousines and a red carpet.
