Admissions Policy

 

The school's annual admissions limit is 108 and all students of secondary school age are eligible for admission.  Any parent who wishes their child to attend the school is welcome to telephone and make an appointment to see the Headteacher.  Year 7 entrants are required to follow the county admissions procedures.

Admissions Criteria

Students will be admitted at age 11 without reference to ability or aptitude.  In the case of over subscription, the following criteria will be applied:

  • Where there are medical grounds or special educational needs for admitting the child
  • Children from feeder primary schools - St Augustine's, St George's, St Gilbert's. Bluecoat, Malcolm Sargent, the Bythams and Uffington - who indicate Stamford Queen Eleanor School as thier first choice
  • Where a child has a brother or sister already at the school
  • Proximity of the child's home to school, with those living nearer being accorded the higher priority
