Divine Chocolate.jpgDavid Greenwood-Haigh of fairtrade chocolate company Divine Chocolate Ltd and two Ghanaian farmers addressed an audience of students from local schools at Stamford Queen Eleanor School on 26th February

The farmers gave examples of the benefits Fairtrade has brought to them, their families and communities. They also talked about their cooperative Kuapa Kokoo, the cocoa harvesting process, and how owning their own chocolate company has given them pride in their jobsand a share of Divine’s profits.

Several hundred students took part in sessions throughout the day and BBC's East Midlands Today filmed the event for their evening news programme.  Click on the link below to see a clip of the programme. Click here to learn more about the Ghanaian farmers.
