Students at Stamford Queen Eleanor School are celebrating today as their GCSE results prove to be the best ever for the school. 76% of students achieved 5 A*-C grades, with 43% achieving that figure including English and maths.
These results show another pleasing improvement on those last year and reflect the effort, commitment and hard work that staff and students at the school have put in. A number of pupils excelled including Angel Varghese who achieved an impressive 4 A* and 7 A grades.
Headteacher Wendy Hamilton said “Once again, the students have excelled themselves this year. They are a credit to themselves, their family and to the school. They were an excellent year group who showed huge commitment over their five years at the school.
The number of A and A* grades awarded has increased again this year, highlighting the fact that the students are setting themselves the highest of targets and achieving them. Staff and students have worked exceptionally hard to ensure that the results are good. I wish all of the students the very best as they commence their post-16 studies. Our new Year 11 students will certainly have a great deal to do to match and exceed the performance this year”.
