Queen Eleanor Celebrates Arrival of New Minibus

Queen Eleanor students were buoyed this week by the arrival of a new school minibus. The minibus will be used to support a number of school activities including sports fixtures, Duke of Edinburgh expeditions and school visits. It will also be used to support the primary schools in the town, for example attending joint sports events and the joint student council meetings.

One of the School’s older minibuses has been donated to The John Clare Trust to support them in developing their work with the community.

Head teacher Wendy Hamilton said “We have so many activities running at the school that this new minibus was a real necessity for us and shows our commitment to investing in the school and its facilities. We are really pleased with our choice and look forward to people seeing it out and about on a regular basis. We are also very happy to see our old minibus being put to good use by a local charity ”.
