Welcome to Stamford Queen Eleanor School
Stamford Queen Eleanor School is a secondary school in Stamford, Lincolnshire with close links to the neighbouring village of Wittering. Stamford Queen Eleanor School can be found on the northern edge of the delightful market town of Stamford, where our extensive grounds house a range of modern, specialist buildings and sporting facilities.
The school became an academy in 2011 when it joined the CfBT Schools Trust.
Our vision: for Stamford Queen Eleanor School to be the area's leading secondary school, widely recognised for outstanding student achievement and for its positive role in the local community.
Our mission: to provide a supportive, calm and disciplined environment which values all children, builds their confidence and self-esteem and expects them to achieve their full potential.
The school has a programme of accelerated learning to provide students in Stamford with the option to take their GCSEs in Year 9 (13-14 years old) with an enrichment curriculum of additional qualifications available to them in Year 11. Students also have the opportunity to take the English Baccalaureate which requires English, Maths, Science, Geography and/or History and French and/or Italian alongside their other option choices.
We warmly welcome children of all backgrounds and abilities to our school. We have high expectations of all children in our care and support them to reach their full potential in their academic, sporting and cultural endeavours. The school provides an excellent working environment which values teaching and support staff and encourages career progression; and ensures that all children and staff feel safe, secure and confident in school.
We provide a diverse, rounded and challenging curriculum, offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities, and engender a sense of pride in the school for students, parents, staff and the community by celebrating achievements in all spheres.
As a secondary school dedicated to being ‘at the heart of the local community', our aim is to forge strong links with the local community, businesses and organisations through partnership working and developing innovative projects and initiatives.
